  1. this was my first ms attack. happened when I was in 8th grade and I couldn't play my viola D: got to play the bongos instead 🙂 my doctors told me it was a pinched nerve grr

  2. Matt Allen G says:

OF COURSE, It's "ALWAYS" a pinched nerve. PFT! Actually, it's NEVER a pinched nerve!

yeah "pinched nerve" here too GRRR. I have exact same condition as u matt, except mine reminds me I have limitations, like a brick to the head. I often have to keep switching hands when driving cuz the it morphes into extreme nerve pain (upped to 5K vit D a day & cinnamon pills seems to help). sorting thru photos, or any repetitive motion forces similar limitation. plus my hands are STILL stiff, many months later (esp the left), I wonder if that's nerve damage. Its my new normal 🙁

  4. The new normal, yeah, hate that phrase, but it really does "take" after a while. I just get restless now when I sit too long, not much pain luckily±

for those who don't know… over time MS ppl may involuntarily adopt a symptom or two permanently after flare ups especially. U have every right to hate that phrase.

I am yet to be diagnosed yet. I have lesions on my brain, I had optic neuritis, and now I have been have intense electricity running through my left arm. I told me doctor about the electric arm which has been borderline torture and he asked if it was anxiety. I had to compose myself. Really? That was so upsetting. I am not one to complain, but, that made me feel very alone.

  7. Get a new doctor, I have heard this so many times: stress, anxiety, or pinched nerve. No….. not really…..

I've been diagnosed as fibromyalgia but as drs always seem a bit dismissive with me, maybe because I've had depression for years and on medication, I sometimes wonder if its ms and just not taken seriously…apart from weak and painful muscles that actually fail so I can't climb a stair or hold arms up, also tiredness, awful dry eye syndrome, nausea at times, I've also got this revolting creepy pins and needles. It comes and goes but I've got it at some point most days. It comes in my left side, never right…yet! Arm, hand, fingers, leg and foot.keeps me awake, its unbearable, I get up and make fruit tea and take co-dydramol or co-codamol, just to knock myself out.sometimes it reaches my face, but don't laugh, only the left side of my top lip. I sound like I'm some sicko with nothing to do except think about this. Not true. I do a few hours in a charity shop and enjoy lots of craft hobbies and other stuff and get to see my kids and grandkids, and enjoy my church life and friends.I also get memory problems, but is that my age, 59?

  9. Well, I have had that, numbness/pin and needles on one side or one spot of my face, makes sense, i mean, you have many different nerves in your face, so if only certain ones were effected you would only feel it in certain areas. Have you had an MRI? If not fight for one and if there are any lesions get the spinal tap to confirm IF it is MS…
